The Wadena Murals
A number of lovely murals beautify
buildings in downtown Wadena. The Wadena mural artists, volunteers and
sponsors created a major attraction for visitors of this
area.
The mural
project started when a few artists decided to donate their
talents and abilities to enhance the community.
They
completed panels indoors in the winter and endured
everything but rain while working outdoors in the summer.
Their dedication is apparent and they reached their
goal of completing 15 murals.
Each mural tells a unique story and
is a symbolic of the town at the same time.
The murals depict fashionable ladies,
shorebirds, rural life and leisure.
Please take a look at some of the examples shown here
and check out all the murals in person when you come to visit.
