We are currently recruiting for the following position to join the Watson Distribution Terminal:

Operations Technician

Reporting to the terminal supervisor, the operations technician is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of Agrium's products while ensuring that maintenance is performed and terminal safety and security is maintained.

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Operation of refrigeration, liquid fertilizer equipment and manufacturing process equipment. 
  • Operation of various types of maintenance equipment including generators, pumps, emergency equipment & shop machinery. 
  • Knowledge/compliance/operation of railroad equipment & procedures.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers at all times.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Order processing.
  • Periodic supervision of casual staff & contractors.

 

 

Qualifications of the position include:

  • Mechanical skills for repairing pumps, compressors and process equipment.
  • Preventative maintenance of all equipment including use of diagnostic tools and record keeping.
  • Ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Computer literacy and analytical skills.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with electrical / instrumentation background.
